1. Global warming prevention |
Aiming to "maintain the 40% CO2 emissions reduction compared to fiscal 1990 levels until fiscal 2015", Hitachi Displays promotes energy conservation activities.
In the manufacturing department, we are introducing energy conserving equipment in a planned manner, while improving productivity by reducing losses in process condition changes due to product model switches, or other approaches. In the indirect department, we rigorously control OA equipment and the air-conditioning temperature to reduce power consumption.

2. Conservation of water resources |
To conserve limited water resources, Hitachi Displays is striving to increase the recycled water ratio of water used during factory production processes.
Aiming to "maintain the ratio of recycled wastewater at 30% or more until fiscal 2015," we promote a plan to collect and recycle wastewater.
