Hitachi Displays, Ltd. and IPS Alpha Technology, Ltd. jointly made a presentation at the FPD International 2008 show, which was held for three days from Wed., 29 to Fri., 31 October 2008 at the Pacifico Yokohama.
On the Hitachi Displays booth, we demonstrated products, including Barco's 30-inch high-definition medical monitor and the medical IPS product lineup, IPS allowing the display of beautiful images on a curved surface, IPS LCDs for cellular phones (IPS-Pro-Prollezza), new technologies such as high-intensity backlight technology and multi-touch sensors, a mid-size IPS LCD product lineup for business and IPS LCD products for automobile use under the theme of 'IPS LCDs offering truly high-quality images.'
On the IPS Alpha Technology booth, IPS Alpha Panels with industry leading low-power consumption, including a 32-inch LCD with a backlight power of 48W, were displayed.
Moreover, the mega contrast panels that can clearly show 'black' as though viewing from an angle in a dark room were exhibited in comparison with panels using the other systems, to excite the audience.
