The FPD International 2009 was held at the Exhibition Hall of Pacifico Yokohama for three days from Oct. 28 (Wed.) to 30 (Fri.).
Under the slogan of "IPS LCD is Already A Product Found Everywhere", Hitachi Displays exhibited our IPS LCD lineup, demonstrating a variety of applications to our everyday lives and our exhibition space generated a great deal of activity in the exhibition hall.
Our exhibit concentrated on heightened added-value products with high-definition, hybrid touch panels and similar functions such as our small-size qHD and a-SiVGA. We also showed off high-definition displays for the medical and broadcasting fields that use IPS features to provide a beautiful image even when viewed at an angle, as well as our complete lineup of industrial-use and in-vehicle display series utilizing IPS.
We also demonstrated small/medium-sized curved screen panels that garnered a great deal of attention.
We provided a presentation ten times each day explaining our displayed products with an emphasis on the special characteristics of IPS, allowing us to directly provide a great number of people with an understanding of the superiority of IPS.
We truly appreciated having so many people visit our exhibit space.
